We’re looking for a motivated presale technical Researcher to join our R&D department. On this position, you’ll be working closely with the Sales and Development teams, assisting with tech research tasks, refining implementation approaches, and creating project assessments. This is a no‑code role—you won’t do coding or writing smart contracts, but such experience is necessary to handle the research tasks effectively, supporting the sales process.
Requirements:
* Solid understanding of blockchain as a technology (consensus, gas mechanics, state execution) and popular EVM chains — ETH L1, L2s, high TVL EVM L1s. Experience with Rust, Move, or blockchains based on other languages is a plus.
* Experience in the Web3 industry (R&D, development, BA — any relevant)
* High-level understanding of DeFi protocols — Lending protocols, DEXes, perpetuals, LST, stablecoins, CDPs, insurance, and tranching. Any relevant from the list or any non-included.
* High-level understanding of non-DeFi web3 industries (SocialFi, GameFi, decentralized storage — any relevant from the list or any non-included)
* Hands‑on experience with crypto and major DeFi primitives (AMMs, lending protocols, oracles, liquid staking, synthetic assets). Worked with web3 wallets, bridges, DEXs, participated in DeFi protocols, has CEX accounts, traded in the past — any relevant experience to show in the industry.
* Coding skills — intermediate level, past experience in Solidity or blockchain/DeFi development preferred. Tasks are connected with the review of technical docs or interaction with deployed smart contracts, but no coding tasks are expected.
* Generative AI and AI agents experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
* Based on tasks from the Sales team, research of the defined DeFi projects’ mechanics, testing hypotheses, and new features.
* In cooperation with the Sales team, brainstorm and refine feature proposals, product enhancements, and full project concepts. Assess implementation approaches, technical feasibility, and economic viability for each idea.
* Research of a target ecosystem to create ideas for the offering of protocols/components/platforms development. Identify gaps, emerging trends, and high-potential protocol components or platform integrations.
* Own the technical preparation and submission of grant applications and RFPs to blockchain and protocol foundations.
* Act as the bridge between Sales and Engineering in early‑stage opportunity qualification.
* Conduct high‑level technical scoping to outline solution architecture, resource needs, and rough cost models.
* Draft clear, compelling presales proposals that align client goals with our capabilities.
* Participate in discovery and clarification calls to refine technical requirements and ensure mutual alignment. Incorporate client feedback into evolving project scope.
Nice to have:
* Familiarity with leading cross‑chain designs and emerging Layer‑2 rollup architectures (Optimistic, ZK, Sidechains).
* Experience running a validator or delegating on one of the EVM PoS blockchains.
* Practical exposure to generative‑AI tools or autonomous agents for accelerating research workflows and hypothesis testing.
* Active participation in Web3 communities—hackathons, working groups, forums—or a portfolio of published research/pet projects.
