In this role, you’ll focus on building a highly responsive and reusable mobile application using the React Native framework. You’ll collaborate with a skilled engineering team to design and implement large-scale, component-driven applications with a strong emphasis on accessibility, performance, and maintainability.
Contract type: Gig contract. Skills and experience you can bring to this role Qualifications & experience: * 5+ years of hands-on experience in mobile application development, with at least 3+ years in React Native; * Strong understanding of React Native styling, Flexbox, and responsive layouts; * Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.js, with experience building enterprise-level applications; * Proven ability to design and develop cross-platform mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms; * Experience with all the release processes on both platforms, being able to prepare builds, handle provisioning profiles, certificates, app signing, and be familiar with review requirements and flow; * Experience with state management libraries like Redux, Redux Toolkit, Context API; * Deep understanding of React Native’s core principles, component lifecycle, and React Hooks; * Experience with API integration (RESTful APIs), React Query, Axios and asynchronous data flows; * Strong grasp of UI/UX design principles and the ability to implement visually appealing and intuitive interfaces; * Familiarity with mobile monitoring tools (Sentry, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Analytics, or similar); * Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Detox for E2E is a plus); * Hands-on experience with CI/CD for mobile apps (Bitrise preferred, Fastlane, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD a plus); * Ability to work with product, design, and backend teams, and to document/hand over features for long-term maintainability; * Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment; * Upper-intermediate level of spoken and written English.
Nice to have: * Experience managing multiple app environments (dev, staging, prod) and white-label apps with separate configs; * Basic understanding of Swift/Objective-C and Kotlin/Java for debugging and bridging when needed; * White-labeling experience.
What impact you’ll make * Develop scalable and high-performance mobile applications that simplify the EV charging experience; * Build real-time user interfaces that enable drivers to easily find and pay for on-street charging points; * Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to ensure seamless data flow from the charging infrastructure to the mobile application; * Contribute to architectural decisions that ensure the solution is scalable, reliable, and maintainable as the charging network grows; * Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code that directly supports a sustainable and greener future.
