About the project: Edtech LMS We’re looking for a senior engineer to fully own the agentic AI layer of our product. This is a hands-on, systems-oriented role focused on building reliable, production-grade agent workflows that sit at the core of a live Next.js / React application.
This is not a prompt-tuning role. You’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating multi-step agentic systems end-to-end, while working closely with the CTO and frontend team to ensure clean integration into the product.
Requirements: ● Building production systems that rely on LLMs as a core component; ● Designing agent orchestration, tool calling, and state management; ● Integrating AI systems into real user-facing products; ● Experience with Groq and/or Llama or other open-source LLMs; ● Experience integrating LLMs with React / Next.js applications; ● Senior-level engineering experience building production AI or backend systems; ● Hands-on experience designing and deploying agentic or multi-step LLM systems; ● Strong systems and backend fundamentals (APIs, async workflows, data flow, reliability); ● Comfort working with modern LLM stacks, including open-source models and inference providers; ● Ability to reason clearly about failure modes, edge cases, and safety; ● Exceptional written and spoken English.
Responsibilities: ● Own the design and implementation of the agentic AI layer end-to-end; ● Build multi-step reasoning workflows, tool use, orchestration, memory/state, and guardrails; ● Design AI systems that are reliable, observable, and safe in production; ● Implement evals, monitoring, and failure handling for agent behavior; ● Expose agent capabilities to the frontend via well-designed APIs and streaming responses;
