Spendbase is an all-in-one spend optimization platform helping companies reduce costs across cloud infrastructure, SaaS subscriptions, virtual cards, and financial operations. As our cloud product expands, we are looking for a Cloud Cost Optimization Specialist who will work directly with customers to help them unlock measurable savings through our AWS optimization solution.
This is a highly communicative, client-facing role focused on engaging existing and new large customers, guiding them through implementation, and building trust around the access configuration needed to activate savings. Your mission is to help customers adopt our AWS optimization tool smoothly, clearly explain its value, and ensure successful implementation that delivers 10–20% cloud cost savings.
Key Responsibilities: * Proactively reach out to large B2B customers (primarily 100+ employee companies) and introduce our cloud cost optimization solution * Guide customers through the implementation process of our AWS optimization tool * Clearly explain required account permissions and address customer concerns regarding access and security * Build trust with technical and non-technical stakeholders during onboarding * Consult customers on best practices for AWS cost optimization and spending efficiency * Work closely with internal cloud and operations teams to ensure successful product activation * Track implementation progress and remove blockers that delay adoption * Support customers in understanding savings opportunities and long-term cloud optimization strategies
Key KPIs: * Activation rate of contacted customers * Number of successful AWS integrations completed * Average time from first contact to implementation * Customer retention and satisfaction during onboarding * Savings generated through activated accounts
Qualifications: * 2+ years of experience in B2B customer-facing roles (Customer Success, Account Management, Sales, or similar) * Strong communication skills and confident spoken/written English * Good understanding of Amazon Web Services cloud cost optimization principles * Practical knowledge of AWS account permissions, including IAM, Identity Center / Amazon SSO * Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and customer-friendly way * Experience working with large business clients and managing multiple stakeholders * Strong ownership mindset and ability to move conversations toward implementation
Nice to have: * Ukrainian language skills * Experience with cloud onboarding, cloud consulting, or FinOps-related products * Familiarity with enterprise security concerns around AWS permissions
