The Legal Counsel supports PaySaxas’ legal entities across multiple jurisdictions by managing legal matters related to corporate governance, commercial contracts, business operations, and strategic growth. This role focuses primarily on legal support, contract management, corporate structuring, and risk mitigation while ensuring the company’s legal interests are protected. Required Skills * 4+ years of legal experience, preferably within fintech, payments, financial services, insurance, iGaming or other regulated sectors. * Strong expertise in: * Corporate law * Commercial contracts * Cross-border legal matters * Corporate governance * Legal risk management * Experience working with international legal structures and external legal providers. * Strong business-oriented legal judgment. * Upper-Intermediate English or higher.
Nice to Have * Experience with fintech, payments, crypto, or financial regulatory environments. * Familiarity with GDPR, PSD2, MiCA, or similar. * Experience supporting licensing or international expansion projects.
Responsibilities Corporate Legal Support * Manage legal matters for PaySaxas legal entities, including corporate governance, statutory documentation, and legal structuring. * Maintain corporate records, board resolutions, shareholder documentation, and legal entity documentation. * Support legal aspects of company expansion, partnerships, and structural changes.
Commercial Contracts * Draft, review, negotiate, and manage: * Partnership agreements * Vendor agreements * NDAs * Technology and Service agreements * Identify key legal risks, liabilities, penalties, and unusual contractual obligations. * Ensure agreements protect PaySaxas’ interests while supporting business objectives.
Legal Risk Management * Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks across operational and commercial activities. * Provide legal advice to management on business decisions, partnerships, and strategic initiatives. * Coordinate with external legal counsels on specialized matters, disputes, or litigation when required.
Business and Operational Support * Support day-to-day legal needs of internal departments including Finance, HR, Product, Operations, and Compliance. * Provide legal guidance on new products, commercial models, partnerships, and market expansion. * Advise on legal aspects of privacy, intellectual property, and technology-related matters.
Regulatory and Policy Support * Review key legal policies and customer-facing legal documentation as needed. * Monitor significant legal or regulatory developments affecting business operations. * Support licensing, registrations, and regulatory communications when required.
