We are looking for a results-driven, highly autonomous, and self-driven QA Manual Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join our product development team for a short-term, full-time remote engagement. In this role, you will be responsible for the quality, stability, and usability of our web application designed for searching medical professionals based on specific filters (gender, medical school, and other criteria). We need someone who can take full ownership of their tasks and work independently from day one without needing constant oversight. Your responsibilities will include test design, database verification, bug tracking, and active daily communication within our cross-functional team.
Primary Accountabilities * Requirements Analysis and Planning: Reviewing product requirements and creating test scenarios, checklists, and test plans. * Functional and UI/UX Testing: Manual testing of new application features, search algorithms, filters, and overall usability. * Database Verification: Testing data persistence and integrity “under the hood” across various database systems (Snowflake, MS SQL Server, Postgres). * Bug Tracking and Reporting: Detailed reporting and documenting of discovered defects in Jira, and tracking them until fully resolved. * Team Collaboration: Actively participating in daily sync meetings with the development team, business analyst, and product manager to report ticket status and discuss project blockers. * User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Participating in and supporting final user acceptance tests before production releases.
Schedule and Communication Details * Daily Scrum Standups: Mandatory attendance at daily sync meetings scheduled between 16:00 and 18:00. * Meeting Format: Reporting daily progress, ticket statuses, and potential blockers directly to the Business Analyst and the rest of the team.
Requirements * Work Experience: 3+ years of commercial experience as a Software Tester / QA Manual. * Technical Skills (SQL): Confident knowledge of SQL for writing queries and validating data across Snowflake, MS SQL Server, and Postgres. * Tools: Solid practical experience with Jira for bug tracking and agile task managemet. * Test Theory: Strong knowledge of test design techniques, software testing methodologies, and compatibility testing for web applications. * Languages: Strong spoken and written English skills for project documentation and professional communication (upper-intermediate) * Soft Skills: High level of autonomy and a self-driven mindset. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, strong critical thinking, excellent communication, and a detail-oriented approach.
