About the project: The project is a profitable and established fintech company operating in the high-risk payments industry with a proven product-market fit and a growing customer base. As the company scales, it is expanding its merchant onboarding and integration capabilities to improve onboarding speed and customer experience. As a Technical Support & Merchant Onboarding Specialist, you will help merchants successfully integrate and go live by coordinating onboarding activities, providing technical guidance, and collaborating closely with internal teams.
Requirements:
• 2+ years of experience in Technical Support, Merchant Onboarding, Customer Success or Technical Account Management • Strong understanding of payment gateway / PSP onboarding processes • Experience guiding customers through: • Sandbox & production account setup • API documentation and integration flows • Webhook configuration and troubleshooting • Apple Pay / Google Pay setup • Wallet and settlement configuration • KYC / KYB onboarding processes • Ability to identify onboarding blockers and proactively drive resolution • Experience managing multiple onboarding flows and product configurations • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences • Experience working with Jira, ClickUp, CRM, or ticketing systems • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • English at least Upper-intermediate
Responsibilities:
• Proactively drive merchant onboarding processes from kickoff to go-live • Act as the primary point of contact for merchants throughout onboarding • Coordinate onboarding timelines, milestones, and weekly check-ins • Guide merchants through onboarding activities including: • Sandbox & production account setup • API documentation walkthroughs • Webhook configuration and validation • URL whitelisting • Apple Pay & Google Pay setup • Wallet and settlement configuration • Payment method validation • KYC / KYB processes • Track onboarding progress and validate onboarding-related tasks across Jira, ClickUp, or similar tools • Identify blockers, coordinate with internal teams, and proactively drive resolution • Maintain onboarding consistency across multiple merchant and product configurations • Validate onboarding readiness and coordinate go-live activities • Contribute to onboarding process improvements and documentation standardization
Nice to have:
• Experience with Stripe, SumUp, Adyen, Checkout.com, Worldpay, or similar payment platforms • Experience in fintech, payments, or SaaS environments • Experience with onboarding documentation and process standardization • Experience reviewing API requests, webhooks, and integration flows • Experience working in Support + Implementation hybrid roles • SQL or basic log analysis skills would be a plus
