This position is open to Ukrainian citizens based in Ukraine or the EU.
We are expanding our business development team and are looking for a Business Development Coordinator.
In this position, you will support our proposal and tendering activity across public-sector, defence, and security organisations in EU and NATO countries, helping convert international opportunities into contracts and funded collaborative programmes.
You will work directly with the Business Development Lead, CEO, and department heads while building relationships with European agencies, NATO bodies, and global defence primes that support both successful bids and our presence at leading cybersecurity and defence events.
As you build familiarity with our business, customers, and bidding processes, you will take ownership of the bid lifecycle end to end: identifying the right opportunities, qualifying them, planning each submission, coordinating contributions from across the company, and delivering compliant, compelling proposals on time.
The position suits someone who enjoys bringing order to complex, multi-stakeholder work and who treats submission deadlines as the fixed point around which everything else is organised.
If this excites you, we would love to hear from you. What makes you a great match: * You can run a complex bid to a fixed deadline, keeping consultants, engineers, legal, leadership, and external partners aligned and to schedule. * You can communicate confidently with very different stakeholders, from engineers to ambassadors and military leadership. * You build trust and maintain relationships with partners and primes over time, including across consortium and teaming arrangements. * You are comfortable with long sales and funding cycles — if a programme takes 6-12 months from call to award, that feels normal rather than discouraging.
Responsibilities: * Own and manage the end-to-end bid lifecycle for international cybersecurity and defence opportunities: opportunity identification, qualification, bid/no-bid recommendations, kick-off, planning, content development, review cycles, and final submission. * Track and interpret calls for proposals (CFPs), tenders, and collaborative R&D calls across UK, EU, and NATO frameworks, maintaining oversight of deadlines, eligibility criteria, evaluation methodology, and compliance requirements. * Coordinate and edit inputs from technical, engineering, legal, and leadership contributors; write and assemble proposal content into compliant, well-structured, and persuasive submissions, including responses to clarification questions. * Build and manage bid and consortium relationships, liaising with UK government bodies, EU agencies, NATO entities, and prime defence contractors. * Maintain a structured reusable bid library (capability statements, references, and key-personnel CVs), ensuring all activity is documented, version-controlled, and followed up. * Support post-submission activity inc. evaluation feedback, debriefs, and lessons learned, to strengthen win rates over time, and coordinate international events, high-level visits, leadership representation and speaking engagements at key cybersecurity and defence forums where these support live or upcoming bids. * Provide administrative support to ensure all business development activities are documented, tracked, and followed up on.
Requirements: * Clear written and verbal English, with strong writing and editing skills; comfortable communicating in formal and protocol-sensitive environments. * Fluent written and verbal Ukrainian. * 2+ years of experience in business development, project coordination, bid or proposal management. * Ability to track and prioritise multiple activities and deadlines autonomously in a remote-first environment, holding contributors to schedule without losing attention to detail. * Willingness to travel to 2–3 paid events per year within the UK and EU.
Nice to have: * Experience working with donor organisations or donor-funded programmes. * Experience in GovTech, defence, or cybersecurity environments, including exposure to EU/NATO procurement and funding frameworks.
Hiring process: * Intro call with the Business Development Lead. * Test task, estimated completion time up to 2 hours. * Interview with team members. * Background check. * Offer discussion.
What’s in it for you? * Competitive compensation with a flexible and transparent bonus scheme. * Paid vacation — 21 business days per year. * Paid sick leave. * Flexibility to work remotely within Ukraine or Europe. * Learn from a team deeply engaged in cybersecurity consulting and engineering. * Contribute to innovative projects at the forefront of cybersecurity and defence. * Direct exposure to high-level international cybersecurity, defence, and policy ecosystems. * Conferences, books, courses — we encourage learning and sharing with the community. Our team members share a lot in talks, workshops, and blog posts.
