Position Summary
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our client’s mission-driven team. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions that support secure, high-performance delivery of cloud-based services. Key Responsibilities * Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code best practices * Build and maintain secure, scalable networking (VPCs) and core services such as EC2, S3, IAM, ALB/NLB, ECS * Implement and enforce AWS security best practices, including WAF, CloudWatch logging, and AWS Organizations/SCP * Build and manage CI/CD pipelines (preferably using Azure DevOps Pipelines) * Monitor application health and system performance using CloudWatch, logs, and alerts * Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate workloads in ECS * Administer and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers (Ubuntu, CentOS) * Write automation and deployment scripts using Bash, Python, and PowerShell * Support .NET-based application environments and collaborate with development teams on deployment strategies * Identify and implement cloud cost optimization strategies
Required Skills and Qualifications * Proven experience with AWS core services (VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, ALB/NLB, ECS) * Solid understanding of cloud security best practices, including WAF, CloudWatch, and SCP * Proficient in writing and maintaining Terraform infrastructure modules * Experience building CI/CD pipelines (preferably with Azure DevOps Pipelines) * Strong familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools * Experience administering both Linux and Windows server environments * Scripting skills in Bash, Python, and PowerShell * Exposure to .NET environments and support workflows * Strong grasp of performance optimization, monitoring, and cost-efficiency in cloud platforms * Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed cross-functional team
Nice to Have * Knowledge of Kubernetes * Experience with multi-account AWS Organizations setup * Exposure to DevSecOps practices * Familiarity with infrastructure cost reporting tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, CloudHealth) * Prior work in accessibility-focused or SaaS companies
