Presale AI Engineer (Data Solutions) Location: Remote
About the Role
We are looking for a Presale Engineer to shape AI / Data solutions during the presales phase and lay the foundation for their successful implementation. You will act as a trusted technical expert in client-facing discussions, translating complex business needs into high-impact technological roadmaps.
You will work with clients across different real-economy industries (construction, agriculture, manufacturing, oil & gas, etc.), supporting two core strategic vectors: * Horizontal approach: Designing and building scalable data platforms and Single Source of Truth (SSOT) to provide a foundation for BI and AI initiatives * Vertical approach: Developing AI-based PoC to MVP solutions for specific business use cases and immediate problem-solving
Key Responsibilities: * Consultative Sales: Support the Presale Manager in preparing and defending the technical part of proposals during both internal and external sessions * Solution Shaping: Translate business needs into structured solution concepts, defining key functional elements (actors, key use cases, high-level User Stories) * Architecture Design: Design high-level solution architecture (C4 model: System Context & Containers) and select the most appropriate technology stack * Prototyping: Create interactive frontend prototypes (Lovable or similar) to visualize and validate concepts with clients * Team Composition & Resource Planning: Advise on the optimal team structure (roles, seniority, and involvement) and phase breakdown required for successful project delivery * Estimation & Validation: Prepare ranged high-level estimates (ROM, typically ranging from −25% to +75% accuracy), define assumptions / risks, and critically evaluate external estimates from vendors to identify “red flags” or technical inconsistencies * Knowledge Transfer: Ensure a smooth handover of the technical vision to the delivery team once the project starts
Your Expertise:
We are looking for a talented Senior Engineer with a solution architecture mindset. This is a no-coding role focused on architectural design and strategic validation. * Technical Ecosystem Knowledge: * Core Stack (Python & SQL): Experience and hands-on understanding of the Python and SQL ecosystem as the primary standard for AI, Machine Learning, and Data projects (ability to read code, patterns, and validate architectures) * Prototyping Stack (JavaScript/TypeScript): Understanding of JS / TS logic to work with rapid prototyping tools (Lovable, Base 44, v0) and visualize the frontend part of solutions * Containerization & Infra: Good understanding of Docker and Kubernetes principles for designing and validating modern, portable architectures * Full Stack Foundation: Strong understanding (or past hands-on experience) of Full Stack development, enabling a holistic view of end-to-end system flows, from user interfaces to backend logic and complex integrations * Core AI, ML & Data Engineering: * Hands-on understanding of Classical Machine Learning (predictive models, forecasting) and GenAI / LLM-based patterns (RAG vs. Fine-tuning, LLM agents) * Experience with Vector Databases and their role in semantic search and RAG architectures * Ability to identify the right approach (ML vs. GenAI) based on feasibility, data availability, and ROI * Understanding of data layers (DWH, Lakehouse, Data Pipelines, SSOT concepts) * Architectural Vision: * Ability to design architectures using the C4 model or similar (System Context & Containers, sometimes Components for the most risky parts) * Experience in high-level estimation (ROM, typically ranging from −25% to +75% accuracy) and understanding of system complexity drivers * Cloud Platforms: Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) * Communication & Mindset: * Strong client-facing skills with the ability to lead technical discussions at the C-level * Consultative mindset: focus on understanding business problems and proposing practical, ROI-driven solutions * English level: Advanced (C1)
