SSA Group is looking for a .NET Team Lead to join our team to work on a multichannel identity verification platform.
Project:
Client is a RegTech company providing digital identity verification and KYC/AML compliance solutions that help businesses securely onboard customers by verifying identity documents, biometrics, and data across global sources.
The platform solves problems of fraud, regulatory compliance, and manual onboarding inefficiencies by offering automated, scalable, and user-friendly verification workflows. Its value lies in reducing risk, ensuring compliance, and improving conversion rates through seamless, secure identity processes.

Candidate requirements: * 10+ years of proven experience as a .NET engineer with a solid understanding of .NET Core; * 3+ years in a formal leadership role; * Experience with MS SQL Server, including database design (Relational, Non-Relational); * Strong hands-on experience with RabbitMQ or comparable message queuing systems in production; * Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly Kubernetes; * Experience with Azure cloud platform, including services like Application Gateway and API Management; * Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Bicep and Terraform tools; * Strong communication and collaboration skills in English (written and verbal).
Will be a plus: * Experience in the KYC, RegTech, or FinTech domain; * Experience building and scaling SaaS products, ideally B2B; * Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana and Loki; * Working knowledge of security best practices in software development (OWASP, secure SDLC, data protection); * Experience leading teams through significant change: re-architecting, scaling, or migrating platforms; * Experience in Frontend Development (Angular).
Responsibilities:
Leadership & people management * Lead, mentor, and grow a team of .NET engineers, including regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning; * Drive hiring for the team: define role requirements, interview candidates, and onboard new hires; * Foster a healthy, collaborative, and accountable team culture; * Plan and prioritise team workload balancing delivery, technical debt, and innovation.
Technical leadership & architecture * Own the architectural direction of your team’s services within our microservices-based platform, in alignment with our broader engineering strategy; * Drive technical decision-making around .NET Core, MS SQL Server, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes on Azure, and the wider stack; * Set and uphold engineering standards: code quality, testing, observability, security, and operational excellence; * Lead architecture and design reviews; actively participate in code reviews to coach the team and raise the bar; * Contribute hands-on to critical or complex parts of the codebase where your involvement adds the most value (expect roughly 30–50% hands-on coding, depending on team needs).
Delivery & cross-functional collaboration * Partner with Product Management to shape the roadmap and ensure timely, high-quality delivery; * Collaborate with other Team Leads, Architects, and the CTO on cross-team initiatives and platform-wide concerns; * Represent your team in technical discussions with stakeholders, customers, and partners when needed; * Champion best practices in CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
