CleverFiles is an American product company with Ukrainian roots that has been developing software for users worldwide since 2009. Our flagship product is Disk Drill, a data recovery application available for macOS and Windows.
The product helps users recover lost files, photos, documents, and other crucial data. We operate in the data recovery software niche, where quality, reliability, an intuitive interface, and user trust are of utmost importance.
Disk Drill is not the only product in the CleverFiles portfolio. We also develop Clever Cleaner, an iPhone cleaning app, Clever AI Humanizer, a tool for humanizing AI-generated content, as well as several new products currently in development.
About you: * 3+ years of experience with C++; * Understanding of various data serialization and data representation formats like SQLite, JSON, plist, XML, and Protobuf blobs; * Strong ability to dissect and comprehend codebases; * Git/GitHub; * Foundational OS APIs; * WinAPI for Windows; * POSIX, Core Foundation, and Foundation for macOS.
What You Will Be Doing: * Engage in reverse engineering of binary formats and various file systems; * First, familiarize yourself and focus primarily on supporting and fixing existing codebase; * Once feeling confident with the product’s backend, develop new features and explore other (sometimes “exotic”) file systems and data formats; * Collaborate with the team of likeminded pro’s to optimize code for both size and speed; * Enhance overall product performance.
Nice to have: * Objective-C, Swift, and C#; * Understanding at least one of major file systems (NTFS, FAT32, EXT4, etc.) and how they manage data; * UI/UX experience.
